RECYLING/TRASH
The trash area continues to be a challenge to maintain and keep clean. Please note the following when disposing of trash and recyclable items.
Charitable Contributions: While we appreciate the fact that residents do not want to throw away good items, we request that you not leave them in front of the compactor hoping that someone might pick them up, but that instead you take these items to a charitable organization such as Salvation Army or Door of Hope.
Recycling (please bag the following recyclables) :
As a reminder, the following recyclable items may be co-mingled:
Plastic Soda Bottles & Milk Jugs -
Do's: Include only #1 and #2 plastics. Remove caps and Rinse. Crush to conserve space.
Don'ts: No oil containers, toys, margarine tubs, flower pots, plastic wrap or plastic bags
Aluminum and Steel Cans -
Do's: Rinse. Can be crushed
Don'ts: No aluminum foil, spray cans or scrap metal.
Glass Bottles & Jars -
Do's: Include green, brown & clear glass. Remove caps and rinse. Leave labels on.
Don'ts: No broken glass, light bulbs, window glass, mirrors or drinking glasses.
Cardboard Recycling: Throw trash away that is inside the boxes in the compactor and then break down your boxes and recycle.
Items that cannot fit into the compactor are NOT to be dumped at the compactor. |
